It’s been positively spine-tingling to watch the multiple meltdowns over President-elect Donald Trump’s picks for Cabinet posts and other positions. It’s going to be a fun four years mocking and humiliating these frothing-at-the-mouth, fear-mongering “journalists”—and what makes it more “joyful” is that after Trump’s landslide win, they have lost much of their power.
Ratings for extremist cable news channels like CNN and MSNBC have fallen off the cliff, while owners at progressive mouthpieces like the Los Angeles Times and the Washington Post have decided to take a rare look in the mirror and admit that their “Trump is Hitler” narratives bombed. Even executives at ABC are panicking and trying to get conservative commentators to come on “The View.”
I say, don’t give those shrill harpies the satisfaction—let ’em sink.
Some of Trump’s picks may not have been your first choice, but it’s been nonetheless satisfying to watch folks like MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski trek to Mar-a-Lago to kiss the ring and throw away whatever little pride they had left, and Joy Reid over at the same unhinged network melting in ways to rival the Wicked Witch of the West, and CNN’s Jake Tapper looking even more petulant than usual (if that’s possible).
So it is with great pleasure that I bring you a compilation courtesy of MRC NewsBusters of their sniveling, whining complaints and explanations of why they lost, because frankly, sometimes it’s nice to be the victor—and after what they did to us and this country, they heartily deserve it.
All of it. And more.
Grab a beer, a glass of wine, whatever suits you, and bask in their humiliation:
You‘ve got the usual cast of characters—there’s the smug Lawrence O’Donnell—I’m aware of who he is, but seriously, does anybody actually watch that show? It boggles the mind. We see him claiming that Trump is nominating the “worst” people. Did he forget Biden’s choice of Rachel Levine for Assistant Secretary for Health or the ladies’ luggage-stealing “Deputy Assistant Secretary for Spent Fuel and Waste Disposition” Sam Brinton put out there by Biden? Granted, not a Cabinet-level position, but c’mon man.
