Eva Vlaardingerbroek delivered a forceful speech at CPAC Hungary 2026, warning that Europe’s identity, sovereignty and social cohesion are under threat from mass immigration and the growing power of the European Union. In her address, Vlaardingerbroek praised Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán for opposing what she described as the EU’s drive towards greater federalisation and mass migration. She argued that European identity is rooted in centuries of shared history, culture, faith and ethnicity, and challenged the idea that citizenship and European identity can simply be separated from those historical foundations. She also argued that mass migration has weakened Europe’s traditional “high trust” societies, citing violent crimes and demographic changes as evidence of what she described as a growing threat to native European populations. Towards the end of her speech, Vlaardingerbroek called for greater national sovereignty and argued that “remigration” should become a central objective for right-wing political movements across Europe.
