A coalition of anti-Trump activists is organizing a series of nationwide protests over the Easter weekend, as part of the 50501 Movement’s ongoing efforts to challenge the policies of President Donald Trump. The movement, which operates under the slogan “50 protests. 50 states. 1 movement,” aims to “uphold the Constitution and end executive overreach.”
The upcoming “Day of Action” is scheduled for Saturday, April 19, with over 400 events planned across the United States. These events will include traditional protests, as well as community-oriented activities such as donation drives, clothing swaps, and discussions on future actions.
Notably, the organization’s Instagram page has a fresh post shared by Political Revolution devoted to Kilmar Abrego Garcia — the illegal immigrant, accused MS-13 gang member, and alleged wife beater — deported to his native El Salvador by the Trump administration. That aligns them with the likes of Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD), who traveled to the country to meet with the illegal immigrant and plead for his return to the U.S., despite reported ties to MS-13 and court filings from his wife detailing his history of abuse.
The organization’s post says Abrego Garcia “is man who has been in the US for 14 years after escaping gang threats against his family in El Salvador. He is a father to 3 children, a sheet metal worker, and is protected by a withholding of removal. There was and is never any reason to deport him to El Salvador, an action that ignores this status.”
President Donald Trump on Friday reminded the establishment media that Garcia is an “illegal alien, MS-13 gang member, and foreign terrorist. This comes out of the State Department.”
Hunter Dunn, a spokesperson for the 50501 Movement, stated that the group seeks to protect democracy against perceived authoritarianism under the Trump administration. The movement claims to be nonpartisan, attracting participants from across the political spectrum.

The 50501 Movement has previously organized large-scale protests, including the “Hands Off!” demonstrations on April 5, which saw millions rally across the nation.
In addition to protesting President Trump’s policies, the movement has also expressed support for individuals affected by the administration’s immigration enforcement actions. Notably, the group has highlighted the case of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an undocumented immigrant deported to El Salvador, whose supporters argue was unfairly targeted despite his long-standing residence in the U.S.
As the Easter weekend approaches, the 50501 Movement’s planned activities reflect a continued commitment to mobilizing citizens in opposition to the Trump administration’s agenda.
The planned nationwide protests against President Trump over Easter weekend are a clear sign that the opposition remains loud, organized, and relentless. But for many conservatives, this movement isn’t about protecting democracy—it’s about rejecting the will of the voters and disrespecting core American values, including faith and tradition.
While the protests claim to stand for justice and accountability, they also highlight the deep ideological divide in the country. For Trump supporters, this is more than political theater—it’s a call to stay vigilant, defend what matters, and push back against what they see as radical activism trying to rewrite America’s foundations.
