If not for the atmosphere’s density, CO₂ would also be cooling the rest of the earth’s surface; it’s already cooling the upper atmosphere. The “Greens” even tried to explain how CO₂ doesn’t really work as a coolant but still heats the surface with their usual “Green,” as in FAKE magic.
Here’s the problem with her explanation for “Everywhere Is Warming Faster Than the Rest of the World” (video below).
Over the long term, the oceans play a dominant role in Earth’s climate system due to their immense size and capacity to store heat. They cover approximately 70.8% of the Earth’s surface, making them the largest component of our planet’s climate.
Key facts:
The oceans are about 600 times the size of the atmosphere in surface area.
They are approximately 1,000 times as dense as the atmosphere, meaning they can store vastly more heat per unit volume.
Because of this, the oceans have a much higher heat capacity than land or atmosphere alone.
Implications for long-term climate change:
When heat accumulates in Earth’s system, the oceans absorb and store most of this excess energy.
Due to their large heat capacity, the oceans warm first and more slowly, acting as the primary heat sink and driver of sustained, long-term temperature increases. Over decades and centuries, the ocean’s warming leads to gradual increases in atmospheric and land temperatures.
Therefore, in the context of average and sustained warming, the oceans are the main source and reservoir of thermal energy. The idea that land, part of land, or the entire surface warms faster than the oceans over the long term contradicts the physical principles based on their size, density, and heat capacity.
