JD Vance Spits Fire on Deportations – ‘We Don’t Ask Dems For Permission, We Do What the People Want’

Vice President JD Vance slammed criticism of the administration’s handling of mass deportations, particularly a media-fueled narrative regarding an alleged innocent father who was deported due to an administrative error.

Washington, D.C. – Vice President JD Vance delivered a forceful defense of the administration’s immigration policies this week, making it clear that mass deportations will continue despite pushback from Democrats and the media. Speaking on Fox & Friends, Vance dismissed criticism over recent removals, emphasizing that the administration is simply following the will of the American people.

“We do not ask permission from far-left Democrats before we deport illegal immigrants,” Vance said. “We do the American people’s business.”

Targeting Criminal Illegal Immigrants

Vance’s remarks came in response to media scrutiny over the deportation of Abrego Garcia, a Maryland resident sent back to El Salvador. Critics questioned the administration’s aggressive stance, but Vance pointed out that Garcia had been flagged by an immigration judge in 2019 for alleged ties to the violent MS-13 gang.

“This isn’t some innocent bystander we’re talking about,” Vance argued. “This is an individual who was identified as a potential threat years ago, and we followed through on what should have been done long ago.”

Vance, in an interview with Fox & Friends, addressed the story of Abrego Garcia, a Maryland father with protected legal status who had mistakenly been deported to El Salvador.

That father Democrats and the media are latching onto to portray Trump’s deportation operation as heartless did, according to an immigration judge in 2019, have evidence of an association with the violent MS-13 gang.

In fact, as White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt pointed out to reporters earlier this week, he was a leader in the gang.

Success at the Border

The vice president also touted what he described as a major victory in reducing illegal crossings. During a recent visit to Eagle Pass, Texas, Vance highlighted a dramatic decline in border apprehensions, attributing it to the administration’s no-nonsense approach to enforcement.

“Illegal border crossings are down because we’re actually enforcing the law,” he said. “President Trump has made it clear that we will use every tool available to secure this country.”

Republicans argue that the administration’s strict policies—including increased deportations, reinstating the Remain in Mexico policy, and cracking down on asylum fraud—are necessary to restore order after what they describe as years of neglect under the previous administration.

Clashing with Democrats

Predictably, Vance’s comments have sparked backlash from Democrats and immigrant rights activists, who argue that mass deportations could lead to humanitarian crises and family separations. Some lawmakers have called for legal challenges, while advocacy groups warn that the policies could have long-term economic and social consequences.

Despite the criticism, the administration is showing no signs of backing down.

“The American people want a secure border. They want criminals deported. And that’s exactly what we’re doing,” Vance declared.

“We do not ask permission from far-left Democrats before we deport illegal immigrants. We do the American people’s business.”

Vice President Vance hammered the Democrats for having a “weird” and “mistaken placement of priorities” when it comes to defending illegals.

What Comes Next?

As the 2024 election cycle heats up, immigration remains one of the most polarizing issues in American politics. With the administration doubling down on its enforcement-first strategy, the battle over immigration policy is far from over.

For now, JD Vance and the White House are making one thing clear: they believe they have a mandate to act—and they won’t be asking for permission.
