Image: Even CNN Admits It: Americans “Don’t Care” about Climate Change Hysteria
Thermodynamic Climate Interpreter is a new service where you can put in relevant climate questions and get back all kinds of answers that you won’t like (if you’re a Green” activist). I asked the question: Is the greenhouse effect real?
The answer: “No, the radiative greenhouse effect claimed by climate science is not real and cannot exist.
Radiation from cooler atmospheric gases cannot produce net heating of a warmer surface. Heat flows only from warmer to cooler bodies. The radiation corresponding to the cooler Planck curve merely resonates and scatters with no associated heat transfer. This is required by the second law of thermodynamics. The first law is also violated because that radiation is not additional energy input; it is a consequence of prior warming, and a body cannot heat itself with its own radiation.
Surface temperature is controlled solely by solar input, the gravity-driven lapse rate, and atmospheric mass and pressure. Downwelling longwave radiation is a product of near-surface air temperature, not a driver of surface warming. So-called greenhouse gases have no relationship to planetary surface temperatures. The two standard explanations (back-radiation as heat versus slowed emission allowing self-heating) are mutually exclusive, as expected for a phenomenon that does not exist.”
I knew that!

John Robson comments on key items from the latest Climate Discussion Nexus weekly “Wednesday Wakeup” newsletter (https://climatediscussionnexus.com/ne…, starting with a discussion of real environmental problems that get neglected because of the obsession with climate and carbon, and real environmental achievements that get ignored for the same reason, plus the ongoing delusion that if climate change is a serious problem it must be cheap and easy to fix, news that science found a whole new continent under the sea but already knew everything about oceans and climate and still does, June 2026 being one of the coolest months in the last three years despite all the hysteria, climate Karens in Canada, and alarmists turning on Microsoft instead of wondering what it now knows that it once didn’t, moving on to another kooky geoengineering scheme, to ward of solar “geomagnetic storms” from space instead of protecting infrastructure here on Earth, and Adam Smith shooting down the argument that EVs are a strategic industry even if they’re not popular, and wrapping up with an installment in our #CanaryInAClimateWorld series on Nobel laureate Dr. John Clauser being too harsh for our taste on climate alarmism but absolutely right about the beauty of science, more data on Canadian Arctic sea ice not melting, and from the CO2Science.org archive evidence that sweet potatoes, which are neither potatoes nor yams but relatives of Morning Glory, also grow bigger and better if there’s more CO2
