Boston Mayor Michelle Wu is under scrutiny following a report by the Daily Caller News Foundation (DCNF), which alleges that her 2021 mayoral campaign received significant fundraising support from Gary Yu, an individual identified as a Chinese Communist Party (CCP) intelligence official.
According to the DCNF, Yu, also known as Yu Guoliang, is listed as an official in the United Front Work Department (UFWD), the CCP’s overseas influence and intelligence-gathering agency. Yu reportedly raised over $300,000 for Wu’s campaign and has been involved in recruiting U.S. talent for various Chinese regional governments.

China expert Gordon Chang commented on the situation, stating, “The Communist Party’s UFWD never rests. There is no ethnic Chinese official in America who is not targeted. It’s time for law enforcement to investigate the CCP’s ties to Gary Yu and Yu’s ties to Mayor Michelle Wu.”
The allegations have sparked calls for further investigation into potential foreign influence in U.S. politics. As of now, Mayor Wu has not publicly responded to these claims.
The link raises the obvious question of Wu’s loyalties, particularly given her support for Boston’s unlawful sanctuary policies. They could shield illegal-alien Chinese spies from deportation.
