Based on reports published Thursday, November 5, 2026, the Russian military said it carried out overnight strikes against logistics, transport and energy-related targets in several regions of Ukraine.

According to Russia’s Defence Ministry, the reported targets included a Nova Poshta logistics hub in the Kharkiv region, railway locomotives, an industrial building associated with Thermal Power Plant 2, and a power facility in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

The Russian military claimed that the Nova Poshta facility was being used by Ukrainian forces to assemble drones. However, the claim has not been independently verified.

Russia also reported an attack on a cargo vessel in the Black Sea, approximately 52 kilometers southwest of the port of Odesa. Moscow claimed the vessel was connected to the transportation of military equipment.

The reported strikes form part of the continuing campaign against Ukraine’s logistics networks, transportation infrastructure and energy facilities, which play important roles in maintaining military supply operations and civilian services.

Meanwhile, Ukraine has also continued carrying out drone operations against targets inside Russian territory. According to Al Jazeera, Ukrainian drones reportedly triggered fires at industrial facilities in Ryazan, while damage to power lines temporarily disrupted electricity in parts of the city. Russian regional authorities reported that electricity was later restored.

The developments highlight the continuing exchange of attacks against infrastructure on both sides, with transportation networks, industrial facilities and energy systems remaining among the reported targets.

Verification and reporting limitations

Reuters reported the Russian military’s statements but said it could not independently verify the battlefield reports. Details regarding the extent of damage, operational consequences and the status of the reported targets remain subject to independent confirmation.
