Plant Food (CO2) does not control how air masses are moving, and also this year it is a high pressure system from nothern Africa causing it. It’s nothing new either. From time to time also sand from Sahara reaches Europe even all the way up to Norway, sometimes making snow pink during winter.
The air from nothern Africa and Sahara has the ability to travel very far, for example, a lot of the beaches in the Caribbean and Gulf of America has sand originated in Sahara.

Maybe try sulphur?
